Shkodra Elektronike explore love, loss and migration on powerful new single ‘Me Dashtë’

Albanian electronic duo Shkodra Elektronike have released their latest single ‘Me Dashtë’, offering a final preview of their forthcoming debut album Passport.

The track combines traditional Albanian melodies with contemporary electronic production, exploring the emotional complexities of leaving home and loved ones behind. Sung in northern Albanian, ‘Me Dashtë’, meaning ‘To Love’, follows the experience of departure, capturing the painful distance that develops between those who leave and those who remain.

Its central message explores the idea that leaving can itself be an expression of love, combining reflective storytelling with rhythmic electronic arrangements and an anthemic refrain.

Comprising Kolë Laca and Beatriçe Gjergji, Shkodra Elektronike formed in 2019, drawing inspiration from their Albanian heritage and experiences growing up in Italy.

The duo gained international recognition after representing Albania at Eurovision 2025 with ‘Zjerm’, finishing eighth in the competition.
