Ken Freirich’s Random Acts of Kindness project is continuing to build support around “I Wish”, a song created around themes of peace, dignity and social connection.
The African Children’s Choir version has now passed 33 million YouTube views after being recorded and filmed in Uganda earlier this year.
The song has also been featured at charity and public events. A section of the video is being included in a Breeders’ Cup Charities presentation at the Breeders’ Cup World Championships in Lexington, Kentucky.
Support has also come from figures including Forest Whitaker and United Nations representative Vanessa Frazier, who have both highlighted the song’s emphasis on children and peace.
The campaign is being developed alongside Better World Records, also founded by Freirich, with future versions planned around different international children’s choirs.
Random Acts of Kindness says all song profits will be donated to charitable causes worldwide.
