Derbyshire four-piece Shadows of a Silhouette have returned with ‘A.I.A.D.’, a new single that combines classic guitar-driven rock with a contemporary look at the growing influence of artificial intelligence.
Drawing inspiration from the hard rock sounds of the 60s and 70s, the track pairs muscular riffs, dual guitar work and powerful hooks with lyrics that imagine a future shaped by technology and misinformation. The title, Artificial Intelligence, Automated Deception, reflects the band’s interest in exploring the uncertainties surrounding AI and its wider social impact.
Following the release of their debut album For Those That Know last year, ‘A.I.A.D.’ marks the group’s first new music of 2026 and showcases a confident step forward in both songwriting and production.
Having already attracted support from CLASH Magazine and appearances at Y Not Festival, Rough Trade Nottingham and a growing list of headline shows, Shadows of a Silhouette continue to build momentum with a release that balances classic rock influences with timely subject matter.
