Miles Jenson shares new single “Country Club” ahead of debut EP

Singer-songwriter Miles Jenson returns with “Country Club,” the lead single from his upcoming EP Sunshine Goldmine, out June 20th via King Garbage. Known for his sharp lyricism and genre-defying sound, Jenson blends soul, groove, and biting commentary in this whimsical yet hard-hitting track.

Inspired by Atlanta’s “Heroin Triangle” media coverage, the song critiques how addiction is treated with compassion in suburban settings but criminalized in urban communities. “Quarterback in cotillion / Prom queens on heroin…” he sings, exposing a stark double standard.

Produced by Grammy-winner King Garbage (Jon Batiste, The Weeknd), Sunshine Goldmine dives into race, class, identity, and obsession with lush, soul-infused arrangements. “There’s social commentary in these songs,” says Jenson, “but also a lot of inner dialogue.”

With “Country Club,” Jenson continues to carve a path as a fearless storyteller—one unafraid to confront uncomfortable truths with wit, soul, and style.
