Miist Expands Her Vision of Human Connection With the Launch of The Love Project

Miist has spent the past several years exploring how music can encourage empathy and connection. Her newest single, “Love Will Show Us Our Way,” continues that approach while introducing a new initiative titled The Love Project.

The single arrives with a music video composed entirely of fan-submitted clips showing real acts of kindness.

Earlier this year Miist asked her audience to film small moments of compassion in their daily lives. The request produced a flood of submissions from around the world.

The resulting video moves through dozens of locations and cultures, highlighting gestures that often pass unnoticed. Friends comfort one another, strangers offer help, and quiet expressions of gratitude appear in everyday settings.

Miist co-wrote the song with Mauro Malavasi, the Italian producer behind Andrea Bocelli’s Romanza. Their collaboration frames the song around the idea that compassion can guide people through difficult periods.

The release also marks the beginning of Miist’s creative plans for 2026. Several additional songs will follow, each exploring themes related to emotional resilience and human connection.

Her recent projects reflect a growing focus on loneliness as a global challenge. In 2025 she introduced the Smile Project through the song “Could You Lend Me a Smile.”

Inspired by a tragic story in Tokyo involving a man who died alone, the song developed into a global collaboration involving artists linked to more than 60 GRAMMY awards and nominations. Versions appeared in 16 languages.

Miist’s work often extends beyond traditional music releases. Her podcast, Make Me Smile with Miist, ranks among the most popular mental health podcasts in the United States.

Each episode closes with a short exercise encouraging listeners to take a small action that strengthens a relationship or improves emotional well-being.

The ideas behind the podcast will soon appear in a book titled Make Me Smile with Miist®. The project translates those themes into brief chapters that incorporate music.

Miist also founded the World Smile Initiative, a nonprofit organization focused on addressing social isolation. One of its tools, the Kindness Kube™, offers daily prompts encouraging gratitude and kindness.

Her career path reflects an unusual timeline. Songwriting began in her thirties after a lifetime shaped by abandonment and serious illness.

Since then she has written over 100 songs and collaborated with numerous award-winning producers and musicians.

Miist also holds a place in music history as the first native Chinese artist to enter Billboard’s Top 25 Pop/AC chart.

Through The Love Project, Miist continues exploring how music can support emotional connection. “Love Will Show Us Our Way” introduces the initiative with a simple premise: small actions performed consistently can strengthen communities.
