Caribbean-American pop artist Envi Jordan continues his upward momentum with the release of ‘Somebody To Love’, a euphoric, dance-driven single that offers another glimpse into his forthcoming debut album Envi. Following the impact of his debut release last year, Jordan is steadily carving out a space defined by high-energy pop, emotional honesty, and a strong visual identity.
Built around bouncy basslines and anthemic hooks, ‘Somebody To Love’ blends grit and vulnerability into a polished pop belter, balancing club-ready energy with heartfelt storytelling. The track captures the tension between confidence and self-worth, delivering a message that feels both personal and widely relatable.
With growing international support and a rapidly expanding fanbase, Envi Jordan is positioning himself as a compelling voice in modern pop. We caught up with Envi Jordan to talk about the inspiration behind ‘Somebody To Love’, the creative vision behind his music, and what’s to come as he builds toward his debut album.

What inspired you to start making music, and when did it all begin for you?
I started making music 10 years ago, but I’m a perfectionist, so it took until 2024 for me to start releasing mixtapes with songs I was happy with, before releasing my first official single in May 2025. I originally wanted to be a children’s book author and write stories about fictional characters, which eventually transformed into songwriting.
How would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard your music before?
I’d describe my sound as exciting and high-energy. Songs made for the dance floor. The lyrics are often introspective or based on personal fantasies. As a songwriter, my music is a direct reflection of the era of life I’m in at that moment.
What’s your creative process like when writing or producing a track?
My creative process is very instinctual. I don’t force ideas out. I let them come to me organically, and that’s usually at a random moment in life. I could be running errands around the city or cooking dinner when a melody or song concept comes to mind. I record whatever I’m thinking as a quick voice note to save the idea, and from there, I expand on it.
Who are your biggest musical influences, and how have they shaped your sound?
My biggest musical influences are Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson, Prince, Madonna and Michael Jackson. Their discographies all have a great balance of making fun dance songs while still presenting a message. I like to do that with my music.
What themes or messages do you find yourself coming back to in your music?
Love is a common theme in my music. Learning how to love myself, learning what a healthy love looks like, navigating relationships, fantasies about love.
Tell us about your latest release — what’s the story behind it?
My latest single, “Somebody to Love”, is like a page from a secret diary that was turned into a song. I wrote the song in the winter of 2025, which was a challenging time in my personal life. When the song was competed I had mixed feelings on if I should release it as a single or not because of how personal the lyrics were. I ultimately decided to release the song and make a video for it to further express the message of self-love, hoping to help someone else dealing with similar issues.
What’s been the most exciting or surprising moment of your music journey so far?
I’ve had many exciting moments in my journey, but so far, the most exciting moment has been hearing my music on the radio for the first time. A lifelong dream finally manifested.
What challenges have you faced as a new artist, and how are you working through them?
The biggest challenge as a new artist is proving yourself. Respect is earned in this industry, so you really have to be on your A game, especially in the early parts of your career when people are still feeling you out. The pressure just motivates me and fuels my drive even more to make incredible art.
How are you using social media and online platforms to grow your audience?
I use social media to share my work and interact with Dreamers, the people who are on this music journey with me. Community is important to me. One of the most magical things about music is how it brings people from different walks of life together.
What’s your vision for the future? Any dream collabs, goals, or projects you’re working toward?
Right now I’m recording my self-titled debut album, “Envi”. It was originally going to be an EP, but I’ve decided to just go all the way and make an album. The goal is to have the album out by the end of this year. I also would love to do shows next year, performing songs from the album and sharing the energy in the music with crowds around the world. The three artists I’d love to collaborate with the most are Kylie Minogue, Madonna, and Janet Jackson. I’d love to sing a duet with them, or write for them.
