There’s a rare sense of restraint running through Foam & Sand’s forthcoming record ‘Quieter’, a project that favours introspection over impact, and patience over immediacy.
At its core sits ‘Circle 61’, a piece that perfectly distils the album’s philosophy. Rather than building toward anything concrete, it drifts gently, evolving almost imperceptibly, and inviting us into a state of quiet focus.
Across the album, the palette remains intentionally sparse. Analogue synth tones, light percussion, and delicate instrumental touches are given space to resonate, with subtle tape textures lending warmth and depth. Nothing rushes; every element feels considered, yet unforced.
While guest contributions from vocalists Peia and Priscilla Ahn, as well as Masha Brodskaya’s violin work are woven in with care, never disrupting the album’s equilibrium.
‘Quieter’ will aim to offer a continuous, immersive space where sound unfolds slowly, and listening becomes an act of presence rather than pursuit.
