Emerging electronic producer MSTRY has released his second single, ‘Not The Same’, featuring vocalist Nina Arya, as he continues building towards his forthcoming debut EP.
Following his summer release ‘Electric In The Air’, the new track explores a heavier side of MSTRY’s production, combining elements of UK dubstep with atmospheric electronic arrangements.
Featuring pulsing basslines, expansive breakdowns and powerful vocals from Arya, ‘Not The Same’ balances melodic passages with gritty drops and darker electronic textures.
Lyrically, the single addresses frustration and disconnection with political and societal leadership, presenting a defiant message through its rebellious songwriting.
Arya has previously received support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Asian Network, alongside appearances at Reading and Leeds and Latitude festivals.
Having spent several years engineering and producing music for other artists, MSTRY is now developing his own sound within the UK’s 140 BPM dubstep scene.
