The American Dream meets a reckoning as LUX the band unleash ‘Heed (America’s Got a Gun)’

The spirit of the great American protest song is alive and kicking, and Paris-based duo LUX the band are bringing it roaring into the present with their politically charged new single ‘Heed (America’s Got a Gun)’.

New York-born singer-songwriter Angela Randall and French guitarist Sylvain Laforge deliver a stirring collision of classic folk-rock influences and contemporary urgency, questioning what remains of the American ideals that once inspired generations.

Rooted in the musical traditions of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, the track combines commanding vocals, driving acoustic rhythms and gritty electric guitars, gradually building towards an exhilarating crescendo of distorted instrumentation and haunting harmonies.

With their third album already taking shape, LUX demonstrate an impressive ability to draw upon rock’s rich history without becoming trapped by nostalgia.

‘Heed (America’s Got a Gun)’ is an impassioned, guitar-driven statement that asks difficult questions while reminding us why protest music still matters.
