Trevor Phelps returns with nostalgic new single ‘Home Now’

Arkansas singer-songwriter Trevor Phelps begins a new chapter with ‘Home Now’, the lead single from his forthcoming third studio album Small Town, and his first full-length project in four years.

Built around bright indie-pop melodies, infectious guitar hooks and effortlessly memorable choruses, ‘Home Now’ marks a noticeable evolution in Phelps’ songwriting. More focused and refined than his recent Who I Am Now EP, the track captures the warmth and immediacy of mid-2000s indie rock while maintaining a distinctly contemporary feel.

Inspired by memories of growing up in Van Buren, Arkansas, the song reflects on the places, friendships and routines that quietly become part of the past. Rather than dwelling on nostalgia, Phelps celebrates those formative experiences, creating a heartfelt tribute to late-night drives, local music scenes and the bittersweet reality of moving away.

The single also offers an early glimpse of Small Town, an album shaped by personal reflection following Phelps’ move to nearby Fort Smith. His aim was to preserve those memories before they faded, resulting in a collection that feels intimate, honest and relatable.

Having previously earned support from Apple Music’s New In Alternative playlist and radio stations across the US and Europe, Trevor Phelps returns with one of his strongest releases to date, setting the stage for an exciting new album later this year.
