Borrowed Body shares poetic new album ‘In Bed With A Shadow’

Barcelona-based psych-folk artist Borrowed Body- the project of Niall Hill- returns with ‘In Bed With A Shadow’, a spellbinding new album that blends yearning, mysticism, and soft-spoken grief. Marking his first release since the loss of a longtime friend and collaborator, the record unfolds like a series of nocturnal confessions-  hushed, haunted, and tenderly poetic.

Self-produced between London and Barcelona with a close-knit ensemble, the album is laced with field recordings gathered across two years and continents, giving it an intimate, weather-worn quality. Hill’s vocals sit at the center: devout, dreamlike, and full of quiet ache.

To accompany the release, Borrowed Body has also published a lyric and art book illustrated by Xuxu W., expanding the world of the album with stories, sketches, and secrets scribbled in the margins.

‘In Bed With A Shadow’ is for listeners who linger in the foggy edges of folk- fans of Radiohead, Damien Jurado, Donovan, and whispered magic. It’s out now.

Must listen- the gorgeously aching track, ‘Ambr’.
